Nancy is the true story of a boy growing up between a strict Jehovah’s Witness mother and a street-smart father whose world runs on charm, danger, and cocaine. When his father leaves for another woman, eight-year-old Richard is pulled into a home ruled by Blanca and her daughter Nancy, a girl five years older who becomes a complicated mix of sister, crush, threat, and teacher. Richard finds escape at the roller rink, where music becomes his church and dancing becomes his identity.
Nancy is not trauma for shock value. It is the origin story of a survivor told with truth & humor.
