Set in Los Angeles in the early part of 2025, I Wrote You a Play is the story of two friends who need each are, and each other, even if they don’t realize it.

Mike has rebuilt his life away from his extended family. His business is thriving again, and he is three years sober. However, one day he receives a letter in the mail postmarked from his mother, who passed two years before. He calls his sister, Jenny, from whom he is estranged, and she drives to his condo, where she deduces that their aunt is likely behind this mysterious letter. Jenny invites Mike to accompany her to the senior home to speak to the aunt, who is deteriorating physically. Mike finally agrees.
