About the Show
Alec has spent most of his life trying to stand out by fitting in. He’s always wanted to join a team. Through interwoven stories from his own life, Alec shares his journey to “fit in” — with the “rich kids” in elementary school, with the “cool kids” in his church youth group, and with the “popular kids” in high school, and finally, with the entertainment industry itself. Resolving in a story about a public humiliation at his alma mater (Pepperdine University), Alec is “The Mascot” — always near the team, but never quite on it. In the end, he learns that it’s better to simply be yourself and see who wants to be on YOUR team.
